Kip " Christopher " Whipple, John Whipples nephew, would be Larry Whipples cousin I beieve.
John Whipple died in 1862 during the Peninsula Campaign of the Civil War.

Hello Laura, I am sure we do have some common ancestors. I noticed your photo entries show the fields on Hunter Road. Smiths settled there, are you one of those Smiths? Also my GGGrandfather Charles C. Decker settled down in the dip just west of the fields, where there is a barn now. The house foundation is there and the spring next to the road. I have a photo of what is believed to be the house.

I am curious as to who the old folks are in the photo you posted and the two young boys on the pile of poles? The photo of the Willowemoc kids is one from my collection. Our Whipples married Deckers in the 1850's and 1860's, in Willowemoc, town of Rockland back then.
