Thus, as we are both relatively "new" to Willowemoc, there's much in the way of historical material that we can provide. You might contact Ed Van Put, of NYSDEC, or Judy Bivins Smith, Roscoe librarian. Ed can provide you with information about our home (we now call it "Willow") when it was briefly the home of the Woman Flyfishers, and Judy's mother grew up in our house (Judy's mother was the the Elsie Bivins Darbee, of Catskill fly fishing and fly tying fame.) Yes John died during the war. He was married to Elizabeth Decker, my gr grand aunt.
